Keen-eyed readers might have caught that Gareth and Vivian shared the same House name ‘Leoric’. They are indeed related. I didn’t explicitly mention this in A Crown for the Promised because it is irrelevant to that particular book’s story.

This information, however, is available way before the publication of my first book. The extensive backstory between Gareth and Vivian can be found in a short story I wrote to promote Legions of Kadmon called Tales of Morbidia: Thicker Than Blood.
