There was a period in my life when I was obsessed with Anime. I was the kind of guy who would diligently watch the top 10 animes of each seasons. That… kind of led to a burn out really quickly. However, what came out of it was several titles that I hold dearly in my nerdy catalogues. Here are some of my favourites.

Favourite Anime of All Time

Kara no Kyoukai (En. The Garden of Sinners) will have to take this one. I can watch those movies over and over again, and I’d still be mind-blown by its sophisticated themes.

Best Story

I’m going to go a little boring with this one, but Shingeki no Kyojin (En. Attack on Titan) takes it for me. Just watch it.

Best Worldbuilding

The Fate series will take this one. Seven mages who summoned historical figure to fight in a bloody battle royale? Come on! And that is just the surface.

Best Soundtrack

This one is really hard for me to pick, but it all boils down to one composer. Sawano Hiroyuki. Give me any anime with him composing, and I’d easily say that it has the best soundtrack of all time. But if I have to choose, I will have to settle with Re:CREATORS.
